Drawing a reindeer is easy with the right tips. With our step by step instructions you can easily draw a lifelike reindeer. This template is perfect for Christmas cards, birthday invitations, wall tattoos or picture stories.
For the drawing you need a pencil, an eraser, an eraser-proof drawing pencil and good colored pencils.
First, create two circles with the pencil to mark the reindeer's head.
Sketch the torso with a rounded rectangular shape. Pay attention to the hump created by the shoulder blades.
Now draw the legs of the reindeer. Make sure that the posture is natural. Use small circles to represent the joints where the hind legs are slightly bent and already indicate the hooves.
Sketch the antlers and connect the guides to form the neck and nose.
From now on, use a drawing pencil. First draw the outlines of the head, torso and antlers. Look for small jags on the neck that are created by the animal's fur.
Complete the legs, tail, face and ears with the drawing pencil.
Carefully erase the underlying pencil drawing and all guides.
In the last step you can color your reindeer. By shading or using light and dark colors you can achieve a three-dimensional effect to make the reindeer look even more realistic.
